Time!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where does it go? Time just flys by. Tomorrow Katie returns home from her holiday in Malta and tomorrow its only 11 days till I start my training for my new job. Life is not boring, there are never enough hours in the day to accomplish everything that i want to do. Scrap a Ganza draws closer, I am looking forward to meeting some of the people from the forum whom I have chatted with and of course getting the goodie bag and all the stash that comes with each workshop.

Snow and things

What a week end, lots of snow but none of it settled but it is very cold. This is the coldest it has been since our return after six years of living in Spain. Still, no regrets though. There is just so much you miss, getting a job for one thing. Just not possible there. Can't wait to begin my training later this month, fancy starting something totally different at my age. There is something to be said for the equal opportunities laws!.
Glad to see that finally people are standing up for the Tibetans, about time. Had there been oil there no doubt the situation would have been quite different.

I still have to make our name tags for SaG on a CD I am using mini ones. Thought full size might be a bit hard to hang on the clothes lol. The time is getting nearer, so exciting.

Richard today took possession of his new lathe so I am expecting something special quite soon. We also meandered down to Timber Land in Tonbridge to see all the beautiful woods they have there and of course Richard spent far more than intended. Its a real eye opener to see so many different colours and grains of wood. I am going to have an ebony pen soon, arent I the lucky one?

My Talented Partner

Please take a look at Richards site, see link. He makes the most amazing pens and pencils from exotic woods also acrylics. They make the most wonderful gift for that 'special person'. Richard is disabled after a major motor bike accident and unable to work. He has a fixation holding his spine together and cant walk more than a few paces due to constant pain. Wood turning has in fact given him a new lease of life, he has his workshop by our house and it is being kitted out to suit his needs.
He can make pen sets and letter openers to order, just take a look and see.
